While EVRAZ does not have a centralised volunteer programme, for many years the Group’s employees have been helping people in difficult situations, supporting institutions for children and organising various sports and social events of their own accord. In regions where the Group operates, there is a very strong labour union movement and a high level of self-organisation among employees. As a result, a volunteer movement exists in those regions created at the initiative of the employees themselves without headquarters’ involvement or any incentivisation programmes.

For the second consecutive year, EVRAZ NTMK’s employees held the “Relay of Good Deeds”. It started at the plant in February 2017 and has since had more than 8,000 participants who have helped 12 educational institutions in the Sverdlovsk region.

In the medium term, EVRAZ is considering the possibility of creating a volunteer programme to develop this stream more effectively and to support volunteers locally.
