Evrazruda

In 2007, Evrazruda’s output was 5.5 million tonnes, including 3.5 million of concentrate and 2 million of sinter.

History

The history of Evrazruda’s subsidiary companies can be traced back as far as 30s-50s of the 20th century.

A consolidation of West Siberian mines took place during the Soviet period, when they were organised into unified corporations, i.e. the Mining Division of KMK (1935—1979) and Sibruda Production Association (1979—1994), which were developing local sources of raw materials for the needs of the Kuzbass metallurgy complex.

Evrazruda started operations in 2002, bringing several mining and processing enterprises in Kemerovo region, the Republic of Khakassia and Krasnoyarsk Krai under common management. In July 2004, Evrazruda acquired in open auctions the production operations of Sheregeshskoe Ore Deposit and Irbinskoe Ore Deposit. Evraz acquired Evrazruda in March 2005 from an entity under common control, and therefore Evrazruda is consolidated with effect from 31 December 2001 as if it had been acquired at such date.
